Located in Ashburton, the Carters Road residence is a stunning modern alpine lodge that balances luxury with natural elegance. Designed by Mooi Design in collaboration with Chilton Mayne Architecture and built by Stu Bell Construction, the home showcases a refined interplay of timber, glass, steel, and stone to create a seamless connection between architecture and landscape.
At its core lies Marchand Luxury Oak in Chocolat Oak. Hand-scraped and individually textured boards bring warmth, depth, and artisanal character to the interior. The rich chocolate tones complement the home’s moody palette and bold detailing, pairing beautifully with glass walls, blackened steel, and natural stone. The result is a space that feels both dramatic and inviting, embodying the essence of modern alpine luxury.
